Home inspection services in Ottawa and capital area

  Professional Memberships and Associations

At this time, the home inspection industry is not formally regulated in Ontario. Home inspectors are not required to be licensed and are not required to be a member of any association. Your best assurance of hiring a qualified home inspector, with the training and ethics required to best protect your interests, is to select an inspector that is a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) as determined by the Ontario chapter of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI).

CAHPI represents the interests of its members and the public through promoting and enhancing members professionalism and competency. CAHPI dictates the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for the best home inspectors in Canada.
